An Atoll on the Edge of Hell: The U.S. Military's Use of Ulithi During World War II
A thesis written while I was a student at Sam Houston State University's Department of History detailing the use of Ulithi atoll during the Second World War by the United States Navy. I was particularly interested in the way in which men lived and worked on small islets less that one-half mile wide.

Food as both Real and Social Currency in the Pacific Theater of World War II
This is was a paper I presented at the Hague, Netherlands in April 2014 about food and its use as a type of currency during the island-hopping campaign of World War II. Most of this presentation focused on Ulithi. This paper is being converted into a book chapter at the moment.
